Pedestrian airlifted to hospital after Gisburn-Blacko road smash

The A682 road between Nelson and Gisburn has reopened after being closed for almost three hours following an accident.

The collision between a vehicle and pedestrian occurred near to Little Middop Farm in Burnley Road, Gisburn, around 12-15pm.

The pedestrian, said to be a 60-year-old man, suffered a head injury and was airlifted to the Royal Preston Hospital.

No details of his condition are available at this stage.
