Resurfacing work has been carried out at Nelson’s bus/rail interchange this week - less than three years after the £4.5m. facility opened.
The interchange is used by hundreds of buses every week travelling in and out of Nelson to and from Burnley, Colne and Barrowford - and cracks have begun to appear across the lanes, so contractors have been called in to do repairs.
But the good news for council tax payers is the interchange is still under warranty and the work will be done at no cost to Lancashire County Council.
And the county council is also considering plans to erect a canopy at the end of the interchange nearest the taxi rank after passengers complained about rain being blown in when the doors are open in blustery weather.
