Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found in a shed on a Trawden allotment.

The body of Vernon Browne (70) was found dead on the plot at East View on Sunday, March 8th.

He was a well-known character at pubs in Colne town centre, where he was always accompanied by his two pet dogs, one of which was with him when his body was found.

The facts of Mr Browne’s death have been reported to the coroner.
