Pendle’s Urban Altitude aerial assault course has been awarded a 2015 Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence.

The Pendle Leisure Centre, Colne outdoor facility has been awarded the accolade for consistently great reviews from users.

Up to date, it has had 66 reviews, is ranked number one for things to do in Colne and has a five star rating on Tripadvisor.

Now in its fifth year, the award celebrates excellence and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve great reviews on TripAdvisor.

When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor takes into account the quality and quantity of reviews and opinions submitted by travellers over a 12-month period, as well as the business’s ranking on the site.

Phil Storey, Chief Executive of Pendle Leisure Trust, said: “Winning this Certificate of Excellence is a true source of pride for the entire team at Urban Altitude and we would like to thank all of our past guests who took the time to complete a review.

“There is no greater seal of approval than being recognised by our satisfied customers. With this award based on customer reviews, the accolade is a remarkable vote of confidence to our business and our continued commitment to excellence.”

Urban Altitude opened in June, 2013 and was the first outdoor aerial assault courses of its kind in the country with its town centre location.

The outdoor pursuit, situated behind Pendle Leisure Centre, off Crown Way, is 42ft high and features a 60metre zip-wire, a Leap of Faith, Power-fan, Jacob’s Ladder, climbing wall and high and low rope courses built around a main activity tower.

Mr Storey added: “It’s fantastic that this unique outdoor activity has been created in Pendle and that its residents have something like this right on their doorstep!

“It’s a new and exciting fitness facility that gets its users active, while having fun at the same time, something the Trust is always looking to provide for the people of Pendle.”
