A little boy has captured the hearts of Pendle residents after his mum posted a video of him online urging people to look out for his stolen plant pots.
Zak Shaw (7) was left “absolutely distraught” after his bright pink, yellow and green pots, kindly given to him by a neighbour, were taken from outside his home in Reedyford Road, Nelson, between Friday, April 17th and the morning of Saturday April 18th.
The youngster, who has ADHD, had been watering the plants every day before school and was just about to go for his weekend swimming lesson when he noticed they were missing.
He asked his mum Victoria Hay if he could do a video for Facebook and it has since gained nearly 50 likes and has been shared across various pages.
In the recording Zak, who goes to Park Primary School, in Colne, says: “My plant pots are gone - please can you find them?
“I really really like them. They are multi-coloured and they were on my doorstep. If you find them I will give you a loom band. If you find them, thank you.”
His mum Victoria (27), who is currently on maternity leave with her four-month-old baby Tilly-May, said: “He has been really upset over it. He enjoys doing gardening and our next-door neighbour got him three multi-coloured plant pots.
“He was absolutely distraught when he saw they had gone and he couldn’t understand why somebody would do that.
“He has said if anyone gives them back he will make them a loom band.
“We have had a fantastic response from Facebook. A lady got in touch with me to give him some plant pots and some seeds to plant, and we went into school and someone had left two plat pots with some tomatoes for him. He was over the moon.”
