Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson is looking for the borough’s best independent shop – and he is asking local people to nominate and vote for their favourite.
The MP said: “We have some great local independent retailers across Pendle.
“It just proves people will always respond to friendly customer service and genuine quality produce, and I want to give those businesses a chance of recognition.”
You can nominate and cast your vote until December 23rd. The winning shops will be announced on Christmas Eve, with there being a winner for Colne, Barnoldswick, Nelson, Barrowford, Brierfield and Earby as well as an overall “Best Shop in Pendle” award.
You can nominate your favourite at www.pendleawards.co.uk.
Paper voting slips will also be available at nominated shops, and there is a chance for one lucky Pendle resident to win a £100 voucher to spend in the shop they have voted for.
Each winning shop will receive a certificate and marketing and merchandising seminar courtesy of local man Ashley Sutcliffe of liveliketheboy.co.uk, and the overall winner will get the chance to have lunch with Andrew in Parliament, as well as one on one marketing and merchandising with Ashley, and a certificate.
