With raffle tickets priced at just £1 each, one lucky winner really will win a car for just £1 – and if the car isn’t just to your liking you can take the cash alternative of £8,000.

This year’s lucky winner can drive away the fantastic prize of a Toyota Aygo in stylish black. The car has been supplied by Hippo Vehicle Solutions and purchased thanks to the support of Alderson and Horan Funeral Services, Charter Walk Shopping Centre, John Macadam Garages, Burnley and Pendle Freemasons and Santa’s Pizza. The support of these local companies means that every pound paid for a raffle ticket goes directly towards patient care.

The hospice relies on fund-raising initiatives such as the car raffle to raise much needed funds. More than 1,000 local people received care and support from the hospice in the past year alone but the cost of providing care continues to increase.

Current annual running costs exceed £3.8 million and more than £2.8 million has to be raised from fund-raising initiatives such as the car raffle and from generous contributions from local people who donate funds or organise their own fund-raising efforts.
