RSPCA inspectors were called out to rescue a young deer which had been hit by a car in Hapton.
The incident involving a young roe buck happened in Burnley Road last Wednesday.
Natalie Taylor from the RSPCA said: “The deer had been hit by a car and was bleeding from the face. The concern was the injury to his face.
“The deer was contained and a vet was called out, who attend and examined it. Luckily, it was just superficial wounds and nothing was broken.
“The deer was later released. A great outcome, and we’d like to thank all the concerned members of public who helped.
