So Edward Johnson thinks the only “sane choice” is to vote UKIP.
I wonder what he bases this decision on? Not fact obviously.
Last month the Independent newspaper did an analysis to ascertain which of our MEPs, in the last European Parliament, worked the hardest and were the best “value for money”.
And “surprise, surprise” guess who came bottom of the pile? Yes, it was UKIP with a score of only 4.4 out of 10.
The Lib-Dems scored highest with an 8 out of 10.
So what do people like Mr Johnson do with this information?
He votes for UKIP and we get 24 UKIP MEPs and lose 10 hard-working Liberal Democrats.
It doesn’t make very good democratic logic does it?
So we now have 24 UKIP MEPs out of the UK’s total of 73 members giving them a total of 33% of this country’s representation in the European Parliament.
Will we get value for money from these UKIP MEPs?
If they follow the example of their leader, Mr Farage, and his deputy, Paul Nuttall, certainly not.
These men had the worst record of attendance during the last European Parliament of all the United Kingdom members yet still took over £600,000 in salary and allowances.
Mr Farage, during the last parliament, did not draft or amend a single report and voted only 42% of the time.
Finally, can we trust Mr Farage, a man who takes huge amounts of tax payers’ money for doing very little work?
He claimed continually during the election that he, and UKIP, were not racists.
Yet with whom is he about to align his party? Yes, the Facist “Front National”, the extreme French right wing party.
The only “sane” thing Mr Johnson and other UKIP voters need to begin to realise is what they have actually voted for.
