Former Barnoldswick professional Shashrika Pussegolla (pictured) was the scourge of Colne on Sunday as he helped Enfield claim a seven-wicket win over Colne at Dill Hall Lane.
The Sri Lankan took 4-48 – his best return in the Lancashire League – as Colne were restricted to 169-9, and then hit 64 not out from 80 balls as Enfield eased home inside 33 overs in reply.
Colne won the toss and skipper Matt Walker decided to bat, as professional James Price top scored with 64, from 99 balls, which included six fours and a six.
Lower down the order, Adam Holt made 22 and David Spokes 20 not out, as Colne finished on 169-9.
In reply, Lewis Wright put on 74 for the second wicket with Pussegolla, as he mader 39, with Adam Bracewell adding 23.
Tomorrow, Colne face another tough test when they entertain title hopefuls Ramsbottom at the Horsfield.
