AFC Colne’s cup final win

AFC Colne beat in-form Ingrow and Worth Valley 4-1 to win the Craven League Division One League Cup Final.

In very wet and heavy conditions, AFC Colne weres were very well supported on the sidelines by spectators who saw a very entertaining game.

AFC Colne led 1-0 at half time through a goal by Daniel Conway.

In the second half, the locals upped their game and pressured the Ingrow defence, which led to Jake Hart scoring a second goal.

AFC Colne’s third came from a corner to the near post, which was headed in by Conway.

Ingrow pulled one back from a free kick, but, late on, AFC Colne added the final blow when Henry Nixon scored a superb free kick into the top corner.

The cup final win was a big team effort from the team, pictured above, which was: Love, Cockerill, Mills, Ivens, Pollard, Wimbles, L.Conway, Aspin, A.Conway, Hart, D.Conway, Nixon, Spencer, Parkinson and Taylor.
