Dutch giants Ajax have been linked with a move for Clarets striker Danny Ings.
The England Under 21 international’s contract at Turf Moor is set to expire in the summer, with Burnley boss Sean Dyche confirming that negotiations are ongoing.
At the beginning of the month, Dyche said: “We discuss with all our players and their agents, we’re very open, it’s an ongoing process. We’ve had it all before, it’s just the nature of your players doing well.
“I can say at this moment he’s a Burnley player, he wants to be a Burnley player and that’s quite obvious from his goals.
“Who knows what the future will bring? He’s enjoying what he’s doing and we’re enjoying having him here.”
The 22-year-old, who has notched four goals in his previous eight Premier League appearances, has seemingly attracted interest from Ajax’s director of football Marc Overmars with the Champions League drop outs free to snap the striker up on a pre-contract agreement in the New Year should Ings welcome a move to Europe.
