Clarets ace Danny Ings scores for England Under-21s
The 21-year-old, who has scored 14 goals in all domestic competitions this term, was handed his first start in the absence of Harry Kane and Saido Berahino as the Three Lions cruised to a 9-0 win over minnows San Marino to remain top of Group One.
Ings became the first Clarets player since Richard Chaplow in 2004 to net for the Under 21s when nodding home Tom Ince’s centre in the 18th minute for England’s third.

Michael Keane opened the scoring at Shrewsbury Town’s New Meadow as early as the 13th minute before Liverpool’s Raheem Stirling struck just two minutes later.
After Ings found the net, Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse made it four with an expertly executed 25-yard free-kick. Then, just before half-time, Ings claimed an assist as he returned the favour to set up Ince.
Ings scored again just moments after the restart before Sterling, Carl Jenkinson and Will Hughes completed the rout.
