Colne came back from two goals down to take a point against Runcorn Town at the XLCR stadium on Saturday.
The visitors went in front after only three minutes when Stuart Wellstead took advantage of some slack defending by the Reds and forced the ball past Chris Thompson.
Just after the half hour, Wellstead scored a good individual goal to make it 2-0.
The Reds hit back within a minute when Kieran Demaine’s angled shot was parried by Danny Lever at the far post and Jay Hart pounced to knock home the rebound.
On the stroke of half-time Colne levelled as Spencer Jordan fired a 30 -yard shot into the bottom corner.
Lever denied Colne after the break as Runcorn reheld on for a hard-earned point.
Colne travel to Tadcaster Albion today in the FA Cup Preliminary Round and barring a replay, host Atherton Collieries on Tuesday.
