Colne’s season starts

COLNE Football Club are gearing up for the start of the season.

The Reds start kick-off their pre-season with a home friendly against Salford City tomorrow, kick-off 3 p.m.

This will be followed by a home friendly against Campion FC on Tuesday, kick-off 7 p.m. with the reserves playing Nelson at home on Thursday, kick-off 7 p.m.

The first team also take on Darwen away on Saturday, July 23rd, Radcliffe Borough at home on Tuesday, July 26th, Chadderton at home on Saturday, July 30th and Lancaster City, again at home, on Tuesday, August 2nd.

Colne will play Squires Gate away in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup on Saturday, August 20th.

If they win this match they will be home to Atherton Colls or Irlam in the Preliminary Round on Saturday, September 3rd, and then would go on to face Mossley or AFC Liverpool or Runcorn Linnets in the First Qualifying Round on Saturday, September 17th.

Colne have a bye in the First Qualifying Round of the FA Vase then travel to face either Holker Old Boys or Northwich Villa in the Second Qualifying Round on Saturday, September 24th.

If Colne manage to come through that game successfully they will play Ramsbottom away in the First Round Proper on Saturday, October 22nd.
