The 28-year-old, who won his first cap for England this term, revealed that the club’s away form and their game management were pinpointed as key areas inparticular.

Sean Dyche’s side have quadrupled their points tally on the road this season, having posted just seven points on their travels last year, and have clawed back 11 points from losing positions in the top flight.

Cork said: “The second half is what we’re about this season, we’ve had periods in first halves where we’ve not been at our best but we always stay in there and we always know we can get something from the game.

“It’s what we’re really good and really strong at, we don’t panic if we go a goal behind, we know we’ve always got a chance of getting back in the game.

“That was the main thing at the start of the season, winning away from home and coming back from a goal and we’ve improved on both of those aspects.

“We’ve done a lot of good things this season and I think those two will be what the manager is most pleased about.”
