IT has been reported that Eddie Howe has today agreed terms with Burnley FC chiefs to become the new manager.

The Bournemouth Echo believes Cherries chairman Eddie Mitchell has agreed compensation with the Clarets - believed to be in the region of £300,000 for Howe and his assistant Jason Tindall - paving the way for Howe to hold talks with the Turf Moor club.

33-year-old Howe, will take charge of the Cherries tonight at Colchester United, is likely to be unveiled as the Clarets’ new boss this weekend.
