‘I thought they were terrific from start to finish’ - Sean Dyche
Ross Wallace netted with a free kick six minutes into injury time at the King Power Stadium, after Michael Kightly ended a club record 655 minutes without a goal with a first half equaliser.
Burnley were shorn of the services of Dean Marney, David Jones, Nathaniel Chalobah, Danny Ings, Matt Taylor and Sam Vokes, and lost Kieran Trippier to an ankle injury late on, but they dug deep for a point which takes them off the bottom of the Premier League table.

Hide AdDyche said: “I thought they were terrific from start to finish, it was the least we deserved.
“There were two sloppy moments, certainly the second goal in particular, but I thought they were absolute excellent.
“It was much more of a reminder what we’re about because we’ve only come away from it once, last Sunday, when we didn’t look at it.
“We never started right and we never got out of that.
“This was completely different, we started with a will and demand, some good play, we looked effective going forward, we looked solid, mostly, although we were disappointed with the two goals.

“It’s a tremendous thing to see when you see a group who were not as strong as we could be - we’ve got injuries and challenges.
“We made changes, and we had to, and yet the group accepted that and went about their business in that manner.”
Much had been made of the goal drought, but Dyche kept the faith, and he smiled: “It’s one of those, a lot was made about it, I know we are creating chances, the rest of it is opinion.

“We’re making nearly chances, a lot, but it’s coming.
“It was a fantastic move for the first goal, a fantastic clip fro Scotty Arfield, a lovely header back, and Kights is on the spot.
“And the second was a moment of great talent.
“It’s important we find that quality, because we need that to win games.”
Dyche also praised a noisy travelling support: “It was nothing more than our fans deserved, I thought our fans were absolutely unbelievable.

“They know we need that, I asked for it last season and they got behind us, and we need it got forward as this group develops, learns and improves.”
Trippier will be assessed after being stretchered off after a poor challenge from Jeff Schlupp, but Dyche is hopeful: “We’re pretty confident it’s not as bad as it looks, coming off on a stretcher, but that was a precautionary thing.”
