Early league leaders Barnoldswick Town slipped to fourth place in the NWC Premier Division after a pair of defeats over the week.
On Saturday, Stewart Airdrie’s men went down 4-1 at home to Runcorn Town, before a 3-1 reverse at neighbouring Silsden on Tuesday night.
That means Town have now lost three of their last four outings, on the back of five successive wins.
At the Angel Telecom Stadium on Tuesday, Town went ahead just after the half hour through James Crorken.
They went in at the break with their lead intact, however, the Cobbydalers hit back to claim the three points with three goals in the closing stages.
Chris Wademan levelled matters on 78 minutes, and two minutes later, Kevin Ryan put the hosts in front.
Town’s fate was sealed in the last minute as Lee Guifoyle added a third goal for Silsden, in front of a crowd of 151.
Late goals were also a problem for Town on Saturday at the Silentnight Beds Stadium against Runcorn Town.
Runcorn went ahead 10 minutes before the break, courtesy of Paul Shanley, who was a thorn in Barnoldswick’s side throughout.
Town hit back to equalise eight minutes into the second half through Jack Hargreaves, but six minutes later, Shanley restored Runcorn’s lead from the penalty spot.
Shanley completed his hat-trick in the 75th minute, and Runcorn sealed victory at the death as Robert Ablewhite added a fourth goal.
Town will hope to return to winning ways tomorrow when they host Maine Road, kick-off 3 p.m.
• Rock Rovers saw a 3-0 lead overturned at reigning East Lancashire League champions Rimington.
Goals from Neil Chapman, Dalton Hutchinson and Thomas Jordan put Rock in command, but Rimington came back to win 5-3.
The reserves lost 5-2 against Rimington, having come back from 2-0 down to level matters with goals from Aidan May and Matthew Robinson.
Tomorrow, Rock’s first team have an early chance for revenge as they entertain Rimington, while the reserves are at Langho, meet The Venue 12-30 p.m.
