Manchester United boss van Gaal impressed with Clarets energy
The Dutchman was impressed with the Clarets’ energy and pressing game, and relieved that a brave of headers from Chris Smalling and a Robin Van Persie penalty sealed a flattering victory.
He said: “The first half was not a good performance.
“Burnley were the better team, they pressed high, we could not keep the ball, they were better and I want to give all the credit to Burnley.

“I think the second half was a little bit better, not much better but a little bit better.
“We could benefit more from the weaknesses of the opponent.”
