On the back of an eye-catching display at Anfield last week, the England international maintained his superb form at Turf Moor.

While he couldn’t add to his seven clean sheets this season, he saved one on one from Ollie Watkins, and making another big stop from Tyrone Mings.

Those stops proved critical, as Burnley managed to stay in the game at 1-0 down at half-time, going on to win 3-2, after a rousing second half comeback.

Asked whether he thought there was a better keeper in England at the moment, Dyche said: “I’m going to say not, because I’m his manager, and I have great value in him, his form and how he goes about it.

“He continues to improve in my opinion.

“I’m completely biased but he’s in very good form, that’s for sure.”
