The on loan France Under 21 international has picked up a hamstring problem in training - though Johann Berg Gudmundsson could return after missing two games with a calf injury.

Sean Dyche updated the media on the team news at this afternoon’s press conference at Barnfield.

About whether Gudmundsson has a chance of being fit, he explained: “Yeah. He’s had a good few days on the grass. He’s been with us on the grass today, so providing there’s no reaction overnight, then he’ll certainly be back in the thinking.

”GK [Nkoudou] has a tight hamstring, so that might naturally work out depending.

”We’re waiting for more news tomorrow morning.

”We’ll give it a 24-hour window to settle down. He was training today but he just complained a little bit of a tight hamstring.”

As reported earlier on burnleyexpress.net, Ben Mee will miss the game, and could also potentially miss the rest of the season with a shin problem: “Ben Mee is a big doubt. I don’t think he’ll make tomorrow.

”He could be couple of weeks or a few weeks, we’ll see about that. He has a stress reaction at the bottom of his shin as it attaches to the ankle.

”He had something similar last season and it cost him a few games. We’ll have to monitor that and see how that settles down.

”Scott Arfield is not quite ready. He’s back on the grass. So that’s where we’re at.

”Ben’s problem is just a stress response to the workload and it gets quite sore around the bottom of the ankle as it attaches to the shin. It was something that he had last season, so we’ll see how quickly that settles down.”
