Speaking to United's website about the £12m arrival, Rangnick said: "He looks with his size, a little bit like Ian Rush, for example, but he's a very technical player. Due to his size, he is also physically present but he’s not that much of a physical target striker.
"He is more of a technical player. Also, he had good times at Wolfsburg when Oliver Glasner was head coach, he did extremely well and scored quite a few goals.
"Hopefully, [on Tuesday], he won't score. He played against Watford and I obviously watched that game on TV. I thought he was a good signing and one of the best possible signings to replace [Chris] Wood."
LIVE: Burnley v Manchester United
Yellow card
Maguire is a lucky boy. The defender obstructs Rodriguez’s run, denying the striker a clear run on goal, but he’s only booked by Mike Dean.
Chance for Burnley
McNeil wriggles free, slides the ball into Weghorst and the striker slams the ball into the side-netting.
What a hit!
Weghorst allows the ball to drop and lets fly from distance and somehow De Gea gets down to save. That would have been some goal.
GOAL: Burnley 1 Manchester United 1
Superb work from Weghorst in the build up followed by a sublime reverse pass into Rodriguez, who breaks into the box and finishes past De Gea.
Pope saves
The ball breaks for Rashford on the right hand side of the penalty area and the Manchester United forward stings the legs of Pope at his near post.
What a save!
Cavani is stood on the post, ready to nod Shaw’s deflected cross home, but Pope somehow springs to his post to keep the effort out.
Another goal chalked off
Brownhill stabs the ball into his own net, from Rashford’s cross, but Pogba was penalised for a foul on Pieters from Shaw’s original cross.
GOAL: Burnley 0 Manchester United 1
Rashford picks out Shaw on the overlap, the defender pulls the ball back, under minimal pressure from Roberts, and Pogba passes the ball into the roof of the net.
