Rochdale striker O’Grady not on Burnley FC manager Eddie Howe’s radar
But he remains hopeful of adding to his squad ahead of the Championship kick-off at home to Watford a fortnight tomorrow.
Rumours circulated on Wednesday evening of an interest in 25-year-old O’Grady, who has been the subject of two failed bids from Sheffield Wednesday – the latest worth ₤£250,000.

Hide AdBut it is understood that Howe, who was once offered the 6ft 3ins frontman by then-Dale boss Keith Hill as part of a deal for centre-back Jason Pearce, has no interest in the former Leicester and Oldham man.
Howe admitted after the 2-0 friendly defeat at Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night he is keen to bring in extra firepower after allowing Chris Iwelumo to join Watford for an undisclosed sum.
He said: “We’re working on it, we need another striker.”
