The XLCR Premier Division champions met the runners-up in the Peter Shaw Trophy Final, with holders Trawden Venue beating Sacred Heart United 5-1.

Thomas Swindells opened the scoring for Trawden in the 10th minute following excellent work from Kieran Britton.

The lead was doubled two minutes later when Ben Gorman scored from the spot.

Swindells extended Trawden’s lead before the interval with an emphatic finish after racing clear.

United pulled one back on the hour when Mark Threlfall out jumped Venue’s keeper to head in.

However, Swindells dispossessed United’s keeper to roll the ball into an empty goal to complete his hat-trick.

The scoring was completed when Gareth Hargreaves capped a superb cameo with a well-taken solo goal.

David Blacklock was named man of the match, chosen by Shaw, as Trawden completed the double.
