Nelson produced a sterling fightback as they sealed a dramatic FA Carlsberg Vase victory away at Consett on Saturday.
And the goal-crazy Blues added to their four goals at the weekend with another seven at Chadderton on Tuesday night, in a 7-1 win - leaving them third in the NWC First Division, and the league’s topscorers with 41 in 12 games.
At Chadderton, the Blues wrapped up victory by half-time as they stormed into a 4-0 lead.
Peter Wright netted a fifth-minute opener, before George Melling scored twice, either side of Ritchie Allen’s first of the night.
Allen made it 5-0 on the hour, before goals came at 10-minute intervals from Liam Boswell and Wright.
Chadderton netted a scant consolation two minutes from time through Matthew Russell.
On Saturday, Consett took the lead against the run of play when top scorer Michael Mackay coolly slotted past Ben Woodhead from the spot.
And Consett soon doubled their lead through Luke Sullivan.
Allen pulled a goal back for as he pounced on a bad back pass to lob the stranded keeper. Allen then drove at the Consett defence, and as the ball broke loose, Boswell equalised after just 22 minutes.
The game stayed that way until half-time and after a quiet opening to the second half, Consett broke away and Sullivan restored their lead.
Nelson responded as Allen put Wright through on goal and Consett keeper Norton brought the forward down.
Norton was giving his marching orders and the pendulum swung furtherwhen Wright robbed a defender and laid the ball across for Allen to tap in.
As the game headed towards extra-time, Consett’s keeper made a hash of a clearance and Allen robbed the ball, laying it on for Wright to give Nelson a 4-3 win.
