Reports in Belgium suggest RC Genk striker Jelle Vossen will today hold talks with Burnley over a potential £3m move.
Kjell Doms of HLN Sports reports that Vossen, who spent last season on loan in the Championship with Middlesbrough, is in England to discuss a siwitch to Turf Moor.
Genk’s asking price is between £2.2m and £3m, although the 26-year-old also has the option of a five-year deal at Genk.
Vossen is a full Belgium international with 12 caps for his country since his debut in 2009, and he scored nine goals in 40 appearances for Boro last season.
Bilzen-born, the 5ft 11 ins forward spent time on loan at Cercle Brugge in 2009/10, scoring six goals in 17 games.
