Nelson FC’s first major fund-raiser for the Joe Fagan Stand has been completedby a dedicated team of 12 walkers.

The 63-mile walk (exactly the number of years since Fagan started his managerial career at Nelson FC) started at Anfield and took in nine football clubs along the way including Liverpool, Everton, Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers, Radcliffe Borough, Bury, Accrington Stanley and Burnley ending at Nelson Football Club.

The team of walkers, made up of six Liverpool FC supporters and six Nelson FC supporters, were joined by a number of guests along the way, including ex Everton player Paul Lodge, Bolton Wanderers ace Tony Kelly, ex Burnley star Jamie Hoyland, Jake Berry MP , Accrington Stanley legend Paul Mullin and Nelson FC’s own Harry Manning.
