Barnoldswick’s Jimmy Craig recorded a comfortable victory in round 6 of the Burnley and Pendle Grand Prix at Weets Fell Race.

Chris Holdsworth was second, 90 seconds behind while Tipler won the ladies race by three minutes from Debbie Gowans, of Accrington RR’s. Barnoldswick had three in the top 10 with Nick Treitl claiming fourth and Andy Berry coming home in ninth.

There were also age group wins for Lorraine Slater, Alison Sugden and Jean Rawlinson.

Also on Saturday in the wharfedale half marathon Julian Hood had a great run finishing fourth with Rachel Lowther finishing in two hour and 11 minutes.

On Sunday Matt Lalor made it two wins from two in a Barlick vest with 33 minutes and 56 seconds in the Fleetwood 10K.

Craig, Treitl and Walkden were in action at BOFRA champs coming home in seventh, 12th and 55th respectively.

This week sees the Grand Prix head to Nelson with the notoriously tough Hendon Brook race.
