After the disappointment of missing out on England Netball’s Commonwealth Games, Barrowford’s Natalie Haythornthwaite will, however, help the squad prepare for Glasgow.
The Yorkshire Jets star has been named in the England A squad which will be participating in fixtures ahead of the Games later this month.
The squad will provide opposition in matches against New Zealand and England as the teams ramp up their preparations ahead of making the trip to Glasgow.
All matches are to be played behind closed doors and therefore will not be open for public viewing.
The players selected are: Rosie Allison, Beth Cobden, Sam Cook, Jodie Gibson, Sophie Hankin, Natalie Haythornthwaite, Lindsay Keable, Laura Malcolm, Hannah Reid, Mia Ritchie, Alice Travis, Georgie Webster
Olivia Murphy will take charge of the team with Tracey Neville assisting the former England captain.
The squad will meet and take part in these fixtures during July 15th - 19th.
