Colne skier Bethany Widdup took second and third place in the slalom and giant slalom at the English Alpine Ski Championship in Bormio, Italy.
The 19-year-old took fourth place overall in last year’s Championships.
But she will be hoping to do one better this year, when she takes to the slopes in her two penultimate events, with the competition ending today.
Bethany who started skiing at the age of five at Ski Rossendale, later joined the Pendle Race Team, before committing to racing once she had completed her A-Levels.
Bethany, whose ultimate ambition is to qualify for the 2018 Winter Olympics, had a great season last year.
She came first and third overall at the Scottish Championships, fourth and second at the British Slalom Championships, fourth overall at the English Championship and first overall at Villars Slalom.
The English Alpine Championship is organised by Snowsport England and is a key event on the national skiing calendar and is well known as a platform for rising stars.
