Captain and promising talent dominate Nelson Golf Club awards
Thompson was named Players’ Player of Year, and also claimed the first team batting prize for most runs, and the R.A. Harrison Award.
Phelan had the most wickets and best bowling average, and also claimed the club fielding prize.
Tyler McGladdery was named Most Promising Youngster, and David Crotty had the best first team batting average.
In the seconds, Toqir Hussain took the bowling prize and was runner-up for the batting prize to Syed Shah, who also won the Captain’s Prize.
Steve Eardley won the bowling runner-up prize.
Saj Asghar won the President’s Award, and was also third team bowling runner-up. Lewis Hillman won the thirds’ batting prize, and Haroon Manaf was runner-up.
Elliott Bradley won the third team bowling prize, collecting his award from club president, and father, Michael.
Charlie Lord won the third team captain’s prize.
