Colne and Nelson lost 26-10 in a friendly against Skipton on Saturday as they looked to shake off the cobwebs after the Festive period.
The All Blacks last played on December 6th, so took the opportunity to take on the Yorkshire League side.
The locals went ahead when the ball was given to Tom Handforth, and a couple of dummy passes saw him slip through a gap, then past the last defender to score under the posts, converted himself.
Five minutes from the end of the first half, a flat pass found Matt Tindall, who drew his man and put Neil Pugh in space to cross for a second try, with the conversion missed.
The first half intensity from Colne seemed to drop as the second half progressed, and Skipton went over for three tries, with two conversions.
The last 15 minutes saw Colne gain good territory, but Skipton had the final say, crossing in the corner, expertly converted.
