Recently Cycle Sport Pendle met to celebrate a very significant year since their formation in 2008.

In 2014, the dream of a purpose-built cycling circuit became reality with the Steven Burke Sports Hub at Swinden Playing Fields.

Since then the club has flourished in numbers and with three regular training sessions for riders of all ages and abilities.

In recognition of the hard work and dedication behind the scenes to make this happen Peter Boast was given a special presentation by the club.

This work was then also recognised two weeks later when he was awarded a special recognition award by British Cycling under the Go Ride section that is aimed at building up grass roots cycling.

The CSP awards night also acknowledged the riders achievement of the past year with awards for various age categories, special performances and regular attendance at sessions.

The awards were presented by Simon Wilson and Bex Rimmington, both local semi-professional cyclists and supporters of the club.

The winners of the trophies come from all over the Burnley, Pendle and even Blackburn area of East Lancashire.
