National Track Cycling Championship winner Nathan Hawthorn was invited to receive two prizes at the British Cycling Annual awards at the weekend.
The awards were held on Saturday at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham to recognise the domestic achievement of riders in national events in 2012.
The afternoon ceremony was followed by a gala dinner in the evening to to celebrate a successful year for British cycling.
Cycle Sport Pendle rider Nathan, aged 12, from Fisher-More High School, Colne, received the National Circuit Race Series champion award following a series of races that took part around the UK, and National Track champion, after a one-day event of racing at Manchester Velodrome.
Nathan is now preparing himself for the start of the 2013 season, where he moves up to the Under 14 age category.
He would love to follow in the footsteps of Pendle Olympian Steven Burke in the future, and realises there is a lot of hard work and dedication ahead.
