There was a ‘keep it in the family’ feel to Ian Magill’s Captain’s Day at Ghyll.

On Saturday, Luke Aidrie won the captain’s junior prize with a net 60 after a card play-off with Jake Barnes and Violet Datkiewicz. On Sunday, father Stuart Aidrie won the captain’s prize with 40 points. In second place was Wayne Bury with 39 points, after a card playoff with Andrew Harling.

Craig Lister edged Bill Aitken into fourth place, both on 38 points.

Steve Greenwood won the front nine prize, and Paul Barnes the back nine prize. The mid six went to Steve Wilkinson.

The senior prize was won by Jack Farnhill, nearest the pin in two at the par 4 third hole was Liam Bowditch, and nearest the pin at the par 3 13th hole was Bill Aitken.
