Former greenkeeper Jonny McGeachie laid down the gauntlet with a combative 71-6-65 at Ghyll Golf Club to take the Denis Robinson Memorial Trophy.

Jack Farnhill (81-11-70) took third place on the card from Ken Davison (91-21-70).
