Jimmy defends Burnley and Pendle Grand Prix title

Last Friday saw race two of the Burnley and Pendle Grand Prix - the Pinhaw Trail race.

Tom Addison of Helm Hill won the race, with Jimmy Craig coming home in third place.

Jimmy is now leading the Grand Prix, a title he is defending from last year.

Sarah Tipler made it two wins on the bounce, to follow up her win at Great Hameldon.

Overall there were 20 Barlickers on the fell, with five runners racing in their first fell race, with some great performances from Emma Bailey, Lucy Beresford, David Poole, James Stead and young Jack Thomas.

Last Sunday it was the running of the 30th Calderdale relay. This comprises of six pairs of runners covering the 50-plus mile route. Calder Valley came home in first place, with Wharfedale Harriers second and Barlick third - a remarkable performance after only being in existence for 18 months.

The mixed team finished a creditable 53rd out of 89 teams. The full reports can be found on the club website.
