Karate training course is a huge success

A TRAINING course and grading was held at St Michael and All Angels School, Foulrige, the home of Pendle Karate Club.

Chief instuctor of England Wado-kai sensei Barry Wilkinson, 7th dan, and senseis Nick Perkins and Tina Harrison, 4th dans, were there to provide the training for the weekend.

Over 40 students took part, some coming from as far afield as Glossop, Reading and Aldershot.

A grading was held on the Sunday, and there were three sucessful dan grades - Emma Burniston, 1st dan (Pendle) and George Stevens and Caitlin Rich from Glossop, 1st dan.

Also graded was Harriet Webber, 2nd kyu, Serena Gambacota, 6th mon, and Alex Procter, 7th kyu.

Club instructor sensei Steve Grant said the weekend was a huge success, and thanked everyone involved.
