Park High School students Robert Holmes and Josef Huppach continue to make their mark in the ski ing world, competing in the World Schools’ Ski Championships at L’Aquila, Italy.
This prestigious event is held every two years in a different host country, and to be selected is one of the highest achievements for skiers in English schools.
Robert and Josef were part of a team of 10 boys and 10 girls selected from schools across England, representing their country as part of the Under 16 team, an outstanding achievement, especially with the boys still only aged 13 and 14.
Race days at Ovindoli consisted of Giant Slalom and Slalom disciplines, and they recorded good times for their teams as the Under 16s boys finished a very commendable eighth , meaning they both stand a good chance of being selected for the 2018 Championships.
Robert and Josef are now looking forward to the British Championships and the start of the summer racing season on artificial slopes.
