Pendle Forest thirds need a win in their final game to avoid relegation afer a 1-1 draw against Clitheroe.

In the first half, Clitheroe who had the edge, scoring within five minutes.

It took a harsh team talk at half-time to whip Forest into shape. Forest started the second half much stronger, and gained confidence from some great linking play.

Abbie Hunter, down the right, was fast and solid and played a number of great balls into the D for the forwards.

Alas, the Clitheroe defenders were a match for anything that Forest threw at them.

Forest’s fortunes changed when they were awarded a penalty corner.

Dee McInnes hit out to Denise Tuck, who slipped a neat ball left for Cath Hutchinson, who placed the ball into the bottom right corner to level the game.

The last 10 minutes was end to end, with both teams having opportunities, but the sides could not be separated.
