The Pendle Forest and Craven Hunt Pony Club’s boys’ team finished second at the National Tetrathlon Championships at Bishop Burton College, Beverley.

And the girls also managed a fourth-place finish.

The locals qualified for the nationals at Whitfield Farm, Ettington, near Stratford upon Avon, competing in the four phases - pistol target shooting, swimming, riding over a cross-country jumping course, and running across country.

William Bower, Isaac Pye, Daniel Grant, Ellie Pullin, Katy Mousdale, Natalya Irvine, Grace Jeffrey and Abigail Kershaw represented the club against Pony Club members from all over the UK, and Eire, over four days in Beverley, with the boys’ team placed second, and the girls’ team fourth.

Also, Daniel was a member of the winning Home International Intermediate team.
