Triathlete Steven qualifies for world champs in Canada

Pendle Triathlon Club member Steven Gregory has qualified for the ITU World Championships in Edmonton, Canada following a superb second place finish at the Deva triathlon in Chester.

The previous weekend saw Stephen Ormandy, Rebecca Barr, Ella Redhead, Darren Shaw, Mark McCracken, Adam Chilton, John Bannister, Karen Driver, Steven Gregory complete the Great Manchester Swim.

This was followed by Sean Baldwin from Barrowford and Danny Pearson from Accrington and who completed the IronmanUK in Bolton. Danny finished in 11:46:35 and Sean in 14:34:23 following a Herculean effort by both of them.

Also GoTri Events will be running two tri events in Pendle. They are at West Craven Leisure Centre tomorrow and Pendle Leisure Centre on August 16th. Both days will have two events: Aquathlon Event One: Swim 250 metres and Run 2.5 km. Aquathlon Event Two: Swim 500m and Run 5km. More at
