Colne Cricket Club have named South African top order batsman Yaseen Vallie as professional for the 2016 Lancashire League season.
Vallie, 26, has a strong first class record with the bat, and also bowls slow right arm spin.
He comes with a glowing reference and has an excellent attitude and work ethic, which will help the current side to develop further both on and off the field.

He has featured regularly at Franchise level with the Cape Cobras, and most recently with the Warriors.
He has a batting average of 41.16 in 102 first-class innings since making his debut over five years ago, clocking up 3,705 runs, including nine centuries and 18 half centuries.
He is currently featuring in the South African domestic 20/20 competition, the Ram Slam, where his team mates include former Bacup professional Jon-Jon Smuts.
Vallie has also represented South Africa Emerging Players in 20/20 action in 2013, and South Africa Under 19s at Test, ODI and limited overs internationals, playing at the Under 19 World Cup in 2007/08.
The club would also like to announce the joint appointment of Sam Tillotson and Andy Hakin as both the club’s 20/20 captains and vice captains to current skipper Matt Walker for the 2016 season.
