Motorpoint prepare for fresh assault

Motorpoint has finalised the line-up for its pro-cycling team in 2011.

The team, backed by the Burnley car supermarket giant, won the Halfords Tour Series this year, and welcome back some of the hottest young talent in British cycling in the shape of Ian Bibby, Jonny McEvoy - fresh from his appearance for the Under 23 squad at the UCI Road World Championships in Australia, Pete Williams and James Sampson, together with the more experienced Lee Davis and Andy Roche.

Joining the team, which will compete in the Halfords Tour Series, Elite Series and Premier Calendar, among others, will be new additions Marcin Bialoblocki and Will Bjergfelt from Willier/Bigmaggys, together with Tobyn Horton from continental outfit Team Sprocket.

Both will work alongside Team Director and former British Cycling Champion Phil Griffiths.
