Barnoldswick played their part in a run-fest at Victory Park on Saturday, but came away with a 77-run defeat against Great Harwood.
The sides produced 509 runs in total, with in-form Australian overseas amateur Jack Wildermuth scoring the league’s only century of the day as Harwood totalled 108.
Paul Houldsworth (34), Allan Armer (50) and Charlie Fernando (50) and captain Russ Whalley (28 not out) also contributed to the visitors’ impressive 293-4.
Barnoldswick’s overseas amateur Louis Delport took three of the wickets to fall, but went for 132 off 23 overs.
Barnoldswick made a game fight of it in reply, but were ultimately dismissed for 216, despite a battling 52 from skipper Luke Hodgson.
Openers Abdul Saddique (29) and Chris Lemon (17) laid a decent foundation, with Umar Saddique adding 30.
But bar Hodgson, batting at number six, no one could really build on that as Barlick fell short.
Great Harwood could even afford to concede 64 extras as they cemented third place in the league table.
Houldsworth finished with 3-37 and Whalley 4-28.
