Places are still available for the Bosom Friends charity Santa dash which is back for a second year this Sunday.
In the inaugural run in 2013, speedy Santas and fast Father Christmases were a blur of scarlet as they dashed around the route helping to raise £7,500.
Organisers are still hoping that double the number of festive characters will be at the fun run start line at the West Craven Sports Centre in Kelbrook Road, Barnoldswick, on Sunday at 11am.
Organiser Sharon Hurst said: “The response we had last year was fantastic. Not only did the event raise lots of money for the charity, everyone taking part had great fun and there was a real sense of community spirit throughout the town.
“The support from spectators was great as they came out of their houses to cheer people on and the hoots from motorists travelling up Barnoldswick New Road past the runners was incredible.”
The race will begin at West Craven Sports Centre and work its way to Barnoldswick for a festive Town Square finish where there will be a well-earned cuppa and mince pie awaiting finishers.
Entry is £10 per person, and £5 for under-16s, which includes your free red Santa suit and medal.
The dash starts at the West Craven Sports Centre at 11am and there is capacity for up to 500 Santas to walk, jog or run the 5km route.
If anyone wants to register they can do so on line at www.bebosomfriends.org.uk. Alternatively they can go along to West Craven Sports Centre tonight between 7pm and 8pm where the organisers will be handing out Santa suits to those already registered who want to collect their costumes before Sunday’s dash.
Organisers would also like to thank the event sponsors on the Christmas Tree.
