Three festive windows displaying glitter and gleam were deemed to be the best in Barnoldswick.
Shopkeepers Sally Pickles, Mellissa Beckley and Gillian Farrelly struck gold in Barnoldswick after their Christmas Window displays were judged to be the best in town.
The trio, from RSVP, House of Flowers and Bonjour respectively, all received “Barlick Gold”, the town’s Christmas currency for taking the top three places in the event.
Presenting the Christmas Window Awards, Barnoldswick Town Council Chairman, Coun. David Whipp said: “The window displays in Barnoldswick are brilliant, reflecting the town’s award winning status.
“Judging, through a ‘popular vote’ during the town’s Festive Night Markets was very close and any one of a dozen windows could have been winners.
“The favourite window was at RSVP with House of Flowers and Bonjour in joint second place. Winners receive a share of £100 of Barlick Gold to be spent in participating shops.
“Ten lucky judges, many of whom braved dreadful weather to choose their favourite windows, share a further £100 of Barlick Gold.
Thank you to all the traders who make an extra special effort with their windows at Christmas and throughout the year.”
Prize winning judges have been notified about their Barlick Gold winnings.
