Former Manchester United football manager David Moyes indulged in a spot of retail therapy in Barrowford before flying out to take over the reins at La Liga side Real Sociedad.
The high profile manager who was sacked from the Premier League club just 10 months after taking on the role from predecessor Sir Alex Ferguson demonstrated his flair for fashion as he browsed the rails at Scruples Menswear in the village.
Stephen Collins, co-owner of Scruples, said: “We’d been tipped off that he would be paying us a visit on Saturday so the team were out in force ready to impress.
“He was a great guy, really friendly, unassuming and better still for us, had a good sense of style; he was really taken with our new Mancini Menswear range.
“ He’ll be the best dressed manager in the dugout!”
Scruples, a family run business spanning three generations, has built up a strong reputation for quality men’s clothing during its 30 year history, priding itself on providing a personal one-to-one service in a relaxed environment.
Jan Dickinson, fellow owner, said: “We’ve welcomed a variety of business people, sports personalities and actors through our doors over the years and feel a real sense of pride that they come out of their way to shop with us.”
