A YOUNG ballerina looks set to have her name in lights after securing training with a prestigious dance company.
Bethany Waterhouse (10), who has been attending Sanderson Dance and Fitness centre since she was three, is delighted to have been accepted onto the Royal Ballet Junior Associates Scheme in Manchester.
The Trawden Forest Primary School pupil will train with the company on alternate Fridays and Sundays, and now has ambitions of becoming a professional dancer. She currently does classes in ballet, tap and jazz.
Bethany’s mum, Dawn Browne (40), dad Steven Waterhouse (39) and brother Alex Waterhouse (14) were over the moon when the acceptance letter arrived through the post.
Mrs Browne said: “I am a very proud mum.
“She was very happy when she found out, and shocked as well.
“She only had a one in 10 chance of getting accepted, so we just resigned ourselves to enjoying the audition. We said ‘If something comes it comes’.”
